PLEIN AIR PAINTING WORKSHOP with RICHARD HENRY

Oil, acrylic, or watercolor

Saturday, June 1 and Sunday June 2

9 am to 1 pm


Place: Various locations in the West Corners/Town of Maine area (meeting area to be determined)


This workshop will give you an introduction to painting from nature.

Rich will show you how he works out a composition, works from the general composition to the block-in stage, and progresses to a reasonable stage of finality.

This can be done in two painting sessions.

05 & 06 Apr 2013: Fifty Shades of Paint Workshop by Pat Martin
Two-day workshop, for all artistic skill levels, covers mediums.  

Oct. 01, 2011: Pouring a Floral Watercolor by Barbara Shope. Prizewinning Watercolor Artist Barbara Shope, Member of FASST, Florida Keys Watercolor Society, and Lower Keys Artists Network, studied pouring with Lian Zhen (Lianspainting.com) and has taught pouring watercolor workshops in NY, PA, and FL. Barbara will conduct step-by-step demonstrations throughout the day with time for questions to encourage learning. Students will complete each step of the painting during the day of the workshop. The workshop will focus on pouring watercolors to create a glowing background, painting pale or white flowers that glow, and negative painting of foliage.
